Description by couchtuner for Asia’s Next Top Model Season 4 Episode 5 : Nine would-be models remain and the girls are star-struck when they first become human mannequins for the avant-garde designs of the teenage Thai internet sensation Madeaw; followed by the woman who put the ‘Sex’ in the city, Queen of Style, Patricia Field.

With the shock departure of both Gwen and Alaiza the previous week, Julian is distraught that she’s the only Filipina left in the competition. But, with relationships between the would-be-models already at breaking point, not everyone is sorry to see the back of them.

It’s set to be a week of tough challenges and even tougher confrontations as the girls work with not one, but two international fashion icons.

First up, they must model the avant-garde designs of teenage Thai internet sensation, Madeaw. With inspiration coming from flower bouquets, fishing nets, and even chicken coops, not everyone will cope with the pressure of being on display in a shopping mall as a human mannequin for Madeaw’s outrageous and uncomfortable designs.

But this is only the start of the pressure. The girls must dig-deep to find their inner It-Girl when they learn that the Queen of Style and the woman who quite literally put the ‘Sex’ in the city, Patricia Field, will be at the helm of their New York-themed photo-shoot.

With a trip to New York Fashion Week at stake, the girls find themselves working together in teams of three during their first group shot, but some of the girls are determined to stand out from the crowd.

At elimination, the girls face more brutal honesty as Yu Tsai lays down the ground-rules for what he expects from his Top Model and native New Yorker Patricia also doesn’t mince her words.

While one of the girls gets to fly off to the Big Apple, another falls out of the competition.
