Next season of The Vampire Diaries may be lacking a lot of Elena Gilbert (sorry), but it definitely won’t be lacking some Lily Salvatore… there will be lots actually.
Per THR, Annie Wersching is back next season as she signs on as a major recurring player.
We’ve previously reported we are in for a darker, never before seen Damon plus Mama Salvatore? I don’t know about you, but we’ll tune in when the show comes back this Fall!
THE RETURNED SEASON 2 AT A&E IS NO GO, SERIES CANCELLED
While the original French version of The Returned will be returning to France this year, ABC’s Resurrection and A&E’s The Returned remake are now both officially cancelled. A&E pulled the plug this week.
Per Deadline: “The Returned launched with 1.5 million and closed out its maiden season with a 945,000 viewers.”
Seeing those numbers, you can see why the show was cancelled. It’s too bad it didn’t pick up viewers as Bates Motel / LOST producer Carlton Cuse was also behind this show.
Maybe it shouldn’t have been made in the first place seeing the original has been so critically acclaimed?
